WE ARE RETIRING!
WE ARE Semi-RETIRING!
And Brian and I want YOU to know first.
Brian and I are ready!
Last January Brian and I started planning and plotting our future and what that might look like.
As you know this last year was a demanding time for Scott. Due to his specific special needs, Brian and I have had to alternate staying home with him. After several months of this juggling act between parenting and running a business, we recognized the pressure it placed on us and acknowledged that we could not sustain this approach.
Once Laura started going to Nashville we knew the future would be sooner than later. Then Shay went and got engaged and that was our sign that the future is now.
We are so excited to be closing this brick and mortar chapter and move to our new model that allows us to be with the kids and be invovled in their furture things too.
SO WHAT’S NEXT?
After some thought and mathematical equations…
We chose to centralize our goods and shift COMPLETELY ONLINE.
SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
* We'll keep on keepin' on, snagging and flipping awesome finds but just dial it down to a more chill hobby vibe.
* We're gonna SHAKE THINGS UP & GIVE US A NEW NAME to match our new online vibe better.
* We'll keep our online shop thriving on our site and expand to top online sales spots like Ebay, Poshmark, Mercari, and Etsy.
* We're hitting up all the pop up markets, fall festivals, and spring flings.
* We're even cookin' up a Mobile (bus) Version of our pocket-sized shop!
We are so excited to be closing this brick and mortar chapter and move to our new model. Running our Internet Store at this scale allows us to help Scott at home while trailing our girls chasing their dreams.
WHAT ABOUT THE HOUSE?
Well, right now the building is under contract to sell and while we are still waiting on insepctions and appraisals, we are confident we will go to close in February.
Should this sale fall through, we will convert the space into rental offices for whatever anyone else wants to use it for.
Right now we are just going to announce our plan to shift online and go forward with those plans as usual.
Either way this works out, Brian and I are very excited for next year.
